Good Work, Gumshoe, Gold Stars

Today I am incapable of doing anything except stare slack-jawed at storm pics (I MEAN), and Mike is anxiously awaiting a phone call from one of the 249382 volunteer lists he signed up for.  So while Mike saves the world and I just, I don’t know, think about things, we’re going to quit for the day. But you should know that, somewhere in New York, FWD’s Jack Stuef has done his job today—and done it well.

Stuef uncovered the identity of an anonymous Twitter user who willfully spread false information about the storm last night (“BREAKING: Confirmed flooding on NYSE. The trading floor is under more than 3 feet of water”). Dude is …  “a hedge-fund analyst and the campaign manager of Christopher R. Wight, this year’s Republican candidate for the U.S. House from New York’s 12th congressional district.”

Trolls: They’re just like you and me, except they have fancier jobs, and also are assholes.
