Google’s Brainteasers Don’t Help Them Hire Better People
It turns out that the fancy riddles Google famously used in job interviews didn’t actually help them hire better employees.
“We found that brainteasers are a complete waste of time,” Laszlo Bock, senior vice president of people operations at Google, told the New York Times. “They don’t predict anything. They serve primarily to make the interviewer feel smart.”
Still no word on whether or not they ask you about your greatest weakness.
